🕵️♂️ Board Games with a Legal Twist: Attorney's History Lessons
Colorado Springs attorney Alex Berry, leveraging his courtroom insights, ventures into the world of board games with creations inspired by historical events. "High Treason," rooted in the 1885 case of Louis Riel, and "Corrupt Bargain," delving into the 12th Amendment, bring legal strategy and political campaigning to the gaming table. Berry's unique approach, drawing from historical narratives, adds depth to his designs.
Berry's journey into game creation stems from a lifelong passion for gaming, evolving from childhood Monopoly experiences to a weekly game night hosting diverse titles, including his own creations. While inspired by historical events, Berry ensures his games remain accessible and engaging, making them enjoyable for players of various ages and backgrounds.
For his next venture, Berry draws inspiration from the Nuremberg trials, aiming to continue his trend of crafting games that are not only historically rooted but also enjoyable for players.
🚨 Suspects Evade Capture After Vehicle Burglary Incidents

Winter Wellness: Shoveling Tips! ☃️
Shoveling snow can be a physically demanding task, and it's important to prioritize your safety while doing so. Here's wellness tips to help you stay safe while shoveling snow:
Warm up: Before you start shoveling, take a few minutes to warm up your muscles with some light exercises or stretches. This helps prepare your body for the physical activity and reduces the risk of muscle strains or injuries.
Dress appropriately: Wear layers of clothing to keep yourself warm, but make sure they are not too bulky, as it can restrict your movement. Additionally, wear a hat, gloves, and warm socks to protect your extremities from the cold.
Use proper technique: When shoveling, bend your knees and lift with your legs instead of your back. This technique helps to avoid strain on your back muscles. Push the snow rather than lifting it whenever possible. If you have to lift the snow, scoop smaller amounts to reduce the weight.
Take breaks: Shoveling snow can be physically demanding, so it's important to take regular breaks. Pace yourself and listen to your body. If you feel tired or experience any pain or discomfort, take a break and rest.
Stay hydrated: Even though it's cold outside, you still need to stay hydrated. Drink water before, during, and after shoveling to keep your body properly hydrated.
Be mindful of your surroundings: Take note of the conditions around you while shoveling. Be cautious of slippery surfaces and icy patches. Clear a safe path to walk on and be mindful of any obstacles, such as rocks or uneven surfaces, that may be hidden beneath the snow.
Ask for help if needed: If the snow is heavy or if you have any health concerns, it's best to ask for help. Consider enlisting the assistance of a family member, neighbor, or hiring a professional snow removal service.
Remember, your safety should always be the top priority. If you have any underlying health conditions or concerns about shoveling snow, it's advisable to consult with your healthcare provider before attempting this activity.

🛋️ Stay Toasty, Save Energy
As colder temperatures lead to increased energy bills, adopt simple home measures for energy efficiency.
Tips for Staying Warm and Saving Energy:
Adjust Your Thermostat:
Keep it a few degrees lower than usual (if there are no health concerns), especially when away.
Clear Radiators & Heaters:
Avoid placing items directly in front to let warm air circulate.
Ceiling Fan Magic:
Set fans to spin clockwise for efficient heat distribution.
Layer Up Indoors:
Wear layered clothing inside, to stay warm at lower thermostat settings.
Cozy blankets and sweaters contribute to keeping bills lower.
Sun's Free Warmth:
Open curtains during the day to harness natural sunlight.
Close them at night to retain warmth.
Sleep in Warmth:
Use flannel or fleece bedding for a cozy and energy-efficient sleep.
