The police, addressing complaints, executed warrants, issued citations, and confiscated drugs, including fentanyl.
The incident has triggered discussions about public safety, particularly in parks, with concerns raised about drug dealers exploiting the homeless. π² Your Home's Stealthy Tech Hazards Exposed
If you've stashed away old phones in your drawers, bewareβthey might be silently harboring a dangerous risk. A renowned YouTuber discovered a troubling trend with Samsung flagship phones: their batteries swell, leading to glass cracks and case splits.
This isn't exclusive to Samsung; any gadget with a lithium-ion battery is susceptible to damage over time, and a swollen battery poses serious threats like fires, injuries, and property damage.
Here's what you need to do:
Check for Signs: Go through your drawers and inspect your old phones for any signs of battery swelling.
Handle with Care: If you spot swelling, do not attempt to charge the phone. For older phones with removable batteries, carefully separate the battery from the case. For newer models, don't try to remove the battery yourself.
Safe Disposal: Place the swollen phone in a fireproof bag and contact the manufacturer. While you may not get a replacement or compensation for old models, ensure proper recycling or disposal.
For storing old phones:
Turn off the phone and keep it in a cool, moisture-free place.
Charge the battery to 50% if storing for an extended period. Check every six months and recharge halfway.
Don't let your old gadgets become potential fire hazardsβtake precautions today.
