Intermittent snow and rain in the morning. Predicting total snowfall 2-4” in central COS including Downtown, COS airport, Ft Carson. Broadmoor and Briargate 4-9” possibly and Black Forest up to Monument may see 8-12”. It’s a mixed bag today so stay safe.

On another note…no shadow seen by Punxsutawney Phil forecasting early Spring, even though you wouldn't believe it this weekend! So take that with a grain of salt. 😉

Spotlight Feature 🌟Urgent Appeal: Catholic Charities of Central Colorado

🤝 A Foundation of Compassion in Colorado Springs

In the close-knit community of Colorado Springs, Catholic Charities of Central Colorado has been a steadfast source of support to those in need. Known for its compassionate outreach, this nonprofit pillars itself on service and aid, offering a safety net to our neighbors facing hardship.

Their services are a lifeline—the Marian House Kitchen provides not only meals but also a sense of family, while the Marketplace, Rent/Utilities, Medical/Health Services and much more…are crucial resources to those struggling to make ends meet. These programs embody the charity's commitment to nurturing the well-being of individuals and families alike.

🚩Lifelines at Risk: The Funding Shortfall

Today, our cherished institution faces a daunting fiscal challenge. A funding shortfall of $628,000 looms large, threatening to unravel the safety net that so many rely upon. The Marian House Kitchen, Marketplace Pantry, and other critical services are at a crossroads, and without our help, the impact could be devastating.

💪 Rallying Support in a Time of Need

The Call to Action: CEO Andy Barton paints a stark picture—"We're doing it to the best of our ability. But we've seen a 21% decline in donors since 2020." The time is now for us to step up and support their vital work.

🤗 A Community's Response

This pivotal moment calls for a collective response. Let's come together to help fill the void and ensure that the Marian House and other vital programs can continue their mission. Your support can manifest in multiple ways:

💌 Your Impact: Rebuilding Lives, Restoring Hope

Know that your involvement with Catholic Charities is not just an act of giving—it's an investment in humanity. Together, we can confront this challenge and continue to be a beacon of hope for those who need it.

Let's unite in their support and ensure that no one in our community has to face life's hardships alone. Your contribution, in whatever form it takes, is more than a gesture—it's a lifeline.

Support Catholic Charities: A Call to Action for Compassion 🙏

Colorado Springs Town Tidings is honored to spotlight Catholic Charities of Central Colorado as it is not just another nonprofit; it's the embodiment of our community's strength and kindness. As we highlight their struggles and triumphs, let's remember the countless stories of hope and resilience they've fostered.
