Downtown Colorado Springs has rebounded to pre-pandemic levels in terms of visitation, with a record-breaking 12.5 million visits in 2023. The area has seen significant investment, particularly leveraging Opportunity Zone Funds, and is witnessing a surge in residential development. While the office sector saw a slight increase in vacancy rates, rents have gone up. Despite challenges, Downtown remains a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and tourism.
📉 City Council Considers Energy Cost Reductions Today
Colorado Springs City Council is set to review proposed energy rate decreases presented by Colorado Springs Utilities, potentially lowering residential bills by $1.50 per month starting April 1. This marks the fourth natural gas rate reduction in the past year, reflecting a drop in natural gas costs. Official City Council Agenda for today.

Mayor Mobolade designates March 26 as Gerald "Jay" Cimino Day in Colorado Springs, honoring the late philanthropist's contributions. A public ceremony will be held during the City Council meeting today at 10 a.m., inviting community members to attend in person or watch online on Facebook and Youtube.
