Born in Colorado Springs, Shannon knows the power of community and the personal touch. She envisioned a different experience for her clients – one where laughter flows freely, and every photo is a testament to individuality.

Today, Shannon brings the studio to you, creating a safe haven right in your living room. She believes in the power of comfort and familiarity to bring out the most genuine expressions. Prefer a more traditional setting? No problem, she has a space ready and waiting.

Adaptability is Shannon's superpower—each pre-session consultation is meticulously tailored to discover the essence of your story. A testament to her dedication, she even altered an entire wedding shoot, last minute to protect someone with a medical condition, ensuring inclusivity is at the heart of every moment captured.

❤️ Heart of Fort Carson: Honoring Volunteerism

Fort Carson recently celebrated the remarkable dedication and selflessness of over 500 volunteers during its annual award ceremony. Held at the Elkhorn Conference Center, the event recognized both soldiers and civilians for their outstanding volunteer efforts, which collectively amassed close to 60,000 hours of community service. These volunteers generously contributed their time and skills across various facilities on the post, including the Evans Army Community Hospital, libraries, and the United Services Organization (USO).

Notably, their combined fundraising endeavors yielded over $1.7 million for the Fort Carson community.

🏫 CSDB's 150th: A Milestone Celebration

Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (CSDB) celebrated its 150-year journey with a festive event, tracing back to its founding by Jonathan R. Kennedy in 1874 as "The Colorado Institute for the Education of Mutes." Initially serving just seven students, including Kennedy's children, the school now educates over 700 learners statewide. Situated in its current location, generously granted by Colorado Springs' founder William Jackson Palmer, CSDB upholds its mission of empowering students through tailored academic programs. The celebratory gathering featured alumni Q&A, a time capsule dedication, and the unveiling of a new mural.

🚔 Unanimous Vote: $15M for Sheriff's Substation in El Paso County

El Paso County Commissioners have unanimously approved $15 million in financing for the construction of a new El Paso County Sheriff's Office substation near Falcon. The project aims to serve the growing population in unincorporated parts of the county, with the substation to be located across from Falcon Fire Station 1 near Stapleton Dr and N Meridian Rd. There has been a rising demand for law enforcement services in the northeastern part of the county. The new substation will provide a full range of services, including holding cells, reducing travel time for deputies and enhancing community safety. The funding will come through a bond to address rising construction costs, with the substation expected to be operational by the summer of 2025.
