βοΈ Air Force Cadets Graduate Today
The U.S. Air Force Academy is celebrating the graduation of nearly 1,000 cadets today. Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver the keynote address. Following, Harris will visit Peterson Space Force Base.
π§ TRAFFIC ALERT: As she heads to the ceremony, the VPβs motorcade will shut down I-25 for a period of time, expect delays between 7 and 9:30am.
The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. on Falcon Field, with gates opening at 6:30 a.m. Notably, 357 graduates will join the ranks of Air Force pilots, the largest group in this class.
Adding to the ceremony's excitement, the Air Force Thunderbirds will perform a flyover and aerial display. Locals are reminded to avoid stopping on roads to watch the flyover.

π Track Local Projects with New City Website
The City of Colorado Springs unveiled a new website designed to track development projects, featuring an interactive map that shows projects under review or recently approved. The initiative aims to keep residents informed about local developments and facilitate their participation in public meetings. In addition to the website, the city will introduce new posters and notification postcards to provide detailed information about development applications and related meetings.
π Rattlesnake Season Arrives: Stay Safe
As summer begins, the Pikes Peak Region sees an increase in rattlesnake activity, particularly in parks and trails. Hikers and pet owners are urged to stay vigilant, keep dogs on leashes, and avoid disturbing these snakes. If bitten, seek immediate medical assistance and avoid manipulating the bite area.
