πŸŽ„ Own a Local Business? This One’s for You...

Holiday shoppers are already spending, and I don’t want your business to miss the rush. I have a few advertising spots open if you’d like to get your business in front of more local eyes this holiday season. πŸ€—

🐻 Awww…Look at Them Now!

If you've been rooting for CMZoo's grizzly bear cubs since day one, this one's for you. The pair born last winter just got their official names: Scout (female) and Ranger (male).

CMZoo just dropped the first Cubdate video, giving you a close-up look at how Scout and Ranger have grown. The names reflect the playful, exploratory personalities both cubs have shown from the start. Short video, big smiles.

🎑 Save This Before You Hit the State Fair

A trip to the Colorado State Fair can get expensive quickly, but a little planning can help. Regular admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children, with kids 4 and under free, while parking costs an additional $10 and unlimited ride wristbands are $42. One of the biggest bargains is Wed, when $15 includes both admission and a carnival wristband.

Visitors can also skip the parking fee by using the free shuttle and take advantage of entertainment already included with admission, including duck racing, mini golf and a petting zoo. Setting a spending limit before arriving can also help families decide where they really want to splurge once the food, games and attractions start calling. Full Story

🧳 Need to Get away?

Perfect long weekend: The crisp, alpine peaks of Breckenridge or the sunset-soaked charm of Santa Fe.

🀒 Sewage Spill: Stay Out of the Water

Courtesy CPW

If your Labor Day weekend plans take you east of Colorado Springs toward Bent County, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has issued a water contact advisory for John Martin Reservoir, located between La Junta and Lamar.

The cause: sewage released into the Arkansas River upstream in Pueblo, which flows right into the reservoir. No swimming, wading, kayaking, or any water contact is recommended until further notice.

The park itself stays open for camping, hiking, and sightseeing. Just keep dry and spread the word. Full Story
