If you love a walk along the trail by Monument or Fountain Creek, here's your chance to help shape what comes next. The City, Colorado Springs Utilities and Pikes Peak Waterways are working on the COS Creek Plan, a long-term effort to restore our creeks from the Austin Bluffs Pkwy bridge on Monument Creek down to the S. Academy Blvd bridge.
The goals are ones we can all get behind: less flooding, cleaner water, and better trails and parks. The plan is in a feasibility study now, and they want to hear from neighbors. Join a neighborhood meeting Mon, Oct 26, 5-6:30pm at Colorado College's Gaylord Hall (Worner Center, 902 N. Cascade Ave), or share your thoughts anytime at the online open house.

π FREE DΓa de Muertos Celebration
Here's a colorful way to honor the loved ones we miss. The Fine Arts Center at Colorado College is hosting its DΓa de Muertos celebration with live music, hands-on art activities, a mercado with food vendors and artisans, and a children's costume parade. You can also add an offering to the community ofrenda, the altar of remembrance, in memory of someone special.
It's FREE and open to everyone: Sun, Nov 1, 12:30-4:30pm and Mon, Nov 2, 4-8pm at the FAC, 30 W Dale St. RSVPs are strongly encouraged, and bags are checked at the door.
