๐Ÿฅง Fort Carson Soldiers: Cooking Up Community Love this Thanksgiving

Fort Carson soldiers, in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Salvation Army, are working tirelessly to prepare a Thanksgiving feast for Southern Colorado. With 300 turkeys and traditional sides, the soldiers showcase their dedication to community service.

As the soldiers meticulously prepare the meals, the Colorado Springs Salvation Army is actively seeking volunteers to assist with various aspects of the Thanksgiving dinner, ranging from meal delivery to set-up, serving, and cleanup. Click for details and contact info.

The Thanksgiving meals, totaling about 3,000, will be distributed across four locations in Southern Colorado, including Woodland Park, Fountain, Colorado Springs, and Manitou Springs from 11 AM - 1 PM. This generous effort underscores the soldiers' gratitude and commitment to supporting the community on this special occasion.

๐Ÿฐ Slices of Joy: Monument Donor's Sweet Gesture Surpasses Thanksgiving Goal

In a heartening display of generosity, Monument resident has become a local hero by donating a whopping 335 pies to the Salvation Army, surpassing half of their goal to serve over 3,000 families this Thanksgiving.

Contributing for seven consecutive years, he has emphasized the joy of giving and expressed gratitude for the blessings he has received. His donation, totaling $2,200, showcases a commitment to making a difference in the community.

The Salvation Army, facing the challenge of rising costs, particularly for turkeys, welcomed his contribution, ensuring that families in need can enjoy a complete Thanksgiving meal.

The pies, purchased from Sam's Club, were distributed to the four locations, the Salvation Army covers, reflecting this residentโ€™s dedication to supporting communities beyond his own.

This act of kindness exemplifies the spirit of community engagement, reminding everyone that a collective effort can bring joy and comfort to those facing challenges, especially during the holiday season.
