Welcome to our special bimonthly edition of Colorado Springs Town Tidings, where we shine a spotlight on the incredible work being done by non-profit organizations in our community. In this issue, we invite you to join us in the Community Corner, where we celebrate the power of making a difference together!

We believe in the strength of our community and the impact we can create when we come together for a common cause. Therefore, every other Saturday will be dedicated to showcasing a local non-profit and their inspiring initiatives that bring hope, support, and positive change to those directly in our community that are in need.

From providing essential services to championing important causes, these organizations are the heart and soul of our community. They rely on our support to continue their invaluable work, and we have the power to make a difference by getting involved, volunteering, or contributing in any way we can.

Let's come together, lend a helping hand, and make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors who need it most.

Our hope is that we made you smile today…pass it on.

🎁 The Bob Telmosse' Foundation - Spreading Holiday Cheer Since 1983

Heartfelt Impact: Bob's Community Spirit 🀝

In the heart of Colorado Springs, a beacon of generosity shines brightly, emanating from the legacy of a remarkable individual – Bob Telmosse. What started as a quirky twist of fate in 1983 has blossomed into a cherished annual tradition, transforming lives and spreading joy throughout the community.

How the Giveaway Started πŸ’—

In an unexpected turn of events, an ad in the Gazette Telegraph proclaimed that Bob's business was giving away free food. Instead of dismissing it as a mere hoax, Bob turned this mishap into a heartfelt gesture. Gathering the community the next day, he provided food from his own resources, laying the foundation for what would become the Bob Telmosse' Christmas Giveaway.

As the event grew over the years, SafeChild took the reins, ensuring that thousands of less fortunate individuals experienced the warmth of the holiday season. Even after Bob's health prevented his direct involvement in 2003, the Giveaway endured through the dedication of the community and the eventual establishment of the Bob Telmosse' Foundation.

Foundation Wish List 🎁

As a 501(c)(3) Not For Profit organization, the Bob Telmosse' Foundation continues to make a difference with your support. The Wish List serves as a guide for suggested toys, but you're encouraged to choose items that resonate with you. All donations are tax-deductible, and the Board of Directors ensures that every contribution, no matter the size, brings smiles to those in need.

With a particular emphasis on items for older kids (9 years and older), the Foundation strives to keep the joy of the season accessible to everyone, limiting gift expenses to $25.00 per item. Your generosity can make a significant impact on local families during this festive time.

About Bob 🌟

Bob Telmosse, a luminary in the Pikes Peak Region, was more than a successful businessman; he was a tireless advocate for community welfare. From his role as a partner in the Better Living Center to founding the SafeChild Project in 1984, Bob's influence touched countless lives.

His commitment to giving back extended to various organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Boys and Girls Club. Bob's legacy lives on through the Bob Telmosse' Foundation, embodying his spirit of philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and humanitarianism.

How You Can Make a Difference πŸ€

Join the Bob Telmosse' Foundation in their mission to bring holiday magic to those in need. Volunteer for the Christmas Giveaway event on December 16th, (setup volunteers start on Dec 14th) and be a part of creating unforgettable memories.

Additionally, consider contributing to the Wish List by dropping off items at designated locations, spreading cheer in the true spirit of the season.
