🏙️ Colorado Springs' Agenda: Mayor's Blueprint for 2024
Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade, eyeing 2024, maintains his focus on public safety, economic vitality, infrastructure, housing, and community activation. 🎀 Balancing Act: Joy Over Stress
As we inch closer to the festivities, today we focus on managing expectations and reducing the stress that often accompanies the holiday season.
Managing Expectations and Reducing Stress
Holiday depression can be exacerbated by the pressure to create picture-perfect celebrations. Acknowledge that it's okay not to meet unrealistic standards; instead, set achievable goals. Simplify holiday plans by focusing on meaningful traditions and activities, letting go of unnecessary stressors.
To reduce stress, prioritize self-care. Take breaks when needed, engage in activities that bring joy…if you are capable of feeling it during your holiday depression, but maintain a healthy balance between socializing and alone time. Share responsibilities with loved ones, creating or ask for a collaborative and supportive environment. By embracing a realistic approach to the holidays and practicing self-compassion, you can navigate this season with greater ease and foster mental well-being.
