πServing Those in Need: The Salvation Army of Colorado Springs
The Salvation Army has been a staple in the Colorado Springs community for over 130 years, providing critical services and support to those facing hardship. Their mission is simple, yet profound: to meet human needs without discrimination, one person at a time.
Food for the Hungry π
Through programs like their food pantry and daily meals at the Colorado CafΓ©, The Salvation Army provides nutritious food to individuals and families struggling with food insecurity. People can receive food boxes, infant items, and hygiene products from the pantry on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Shelter from the Storm π
The Salvation Army operates a shelter providing over 68,000 bed nights last year for people experiencing homelessness. They also offer transitional housing for veterans and families through their Fresh Start and New Beginnings programs.
Lending a Helping Hand π€
In addition to food and shelter, The Salvation Army offers rental, utility, and emergency financial assistance to help individuals and families avoid falling into crisis. Youth programs, camping experiences, adult rehab services, and more aim to positively impact lives long-term.
Join the Mission πͺ
The Salvation Army depends on community support to continue serving Colorado Springs. Donations of money, food, clothing, or time go directly to helping vulnerable neighbors move toward stability and self-sufficiency. When we come together, real change happens.
