๐ŸŒŸ Local Spotlight: Pendleton Heating & Cooling

Pendleton Heating & Cooling

In our close-knit community of Colorado Springs, a beacon of warmth and reliability shines through Pendleton Heating & Cooling. Owned by the compassionate and dedicated couple Kip and Brandy Pendleton, this business isn't just about keeping your home's climate controlled; it's about building a legacy of care and professional excellence.

๐Ÿก A Warm Foundation

Kip's journey in HVAC began in his hometown of Canon City, leading him to earn his credentials and become a cornerstone in the industry. When the opportunity arose to take over what was once Furnace Physicians, he and Brandy, a former public school educator with deep Colorado roots, stepped up to the challenge. Since 2019, they've been igniting the pilot light, guiding the business with a blend of technical expertise and a warm, personal touch.

๐Ÿ”ง Services That Go Above and Beyond

Being a full-service provider for the community's HVAC needs, Pendletonโ€™s comprehensive furnace tune-ups, for instance, are a cut above the rest, ensuring every nook and cranny is cleaned and maintained. And in the dry Colorado air, their whole house humidifier installations are a godsend, offering comfort against the static-filled atmosphere.

๐Ÿ’– Community and Care

The Pendletons are more than service providersโ€”they are active community members, participating in fundraisers and local outreach through "411 for the 719." They dream big, with aspirations to create a non-profit to help those in need with HVAC services, reflecting their deep commitment to the people around them.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Warm Endorsements

Direct customer sentiments speak volumes. On Google, residents like Heath Shuford praise them as "lifesavers," while Peter Solie highlights Kip's ingenuity and professionalism. Patricia Hurley and Kathy Woodin share praises for their responsive, high-quality service. These stories aren't just reviews; they're chapters in the larger narrative of a business that puts people first.

๐ŸŽ Exclusive Offer for Our Readers

This is the time of year to think about your home's heating and air needs. Mention Colorado Springs Town Tidings for a special $20 discount on any service (minimum charges apply). It's the Pendletons' way of saying thank you to the community they serve.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Water-Wise Landscaping: CO's New Bill!

A new bill, "Prohibit Landscaping Practices for Water Conservation," seeks to ban high-maintenance non-native grasses on state and commercial properties in Colorado. Aimed at reducing water waste, the bill, sponsored by Senator Dylan Roberts, focuses on areas like government buildings, highways, and parks. It advocates substituting high-maintenance grass with native Colorado varieties, promoting water conservation efforts already underway in the City of Colorado Springs. The bill, backed by bipartisan support, faces a Senate vote today, January 31.

๐Ÿค CARE: A Beacon in Eviction Challenges

A groundbreaking Eviction Diversion Program, initiated by the 4th Judicial Court, has assisted nearly 100 families in our region, addressing a significant local eviction challenge. With a focus on preventing long-lasting impacts on tenants' credit and facilitating access to community resources, the program, known as CARE, is the only one of its kind in the state. Funded by a grant from the National Center for State Courts, it collaborates with 22 local nonprofits to aid both landlords and tenants, emphasizing the importance of housing stability. The court says this program won't apply to squatters whatsoever. Although the program's funding is set to end in August, there are hopes for state legislative support to sustain its positive impact.

โš–๏ธ Return to Nature Co-Owner Freed on Bail!

Jon Hallford, co-owner of Return to Nature Funeral Home, has been released on bail after being accused of Mistreatment of Bodies. The release, granted on Jan. 29, follows a reduction in bail from $2 million to $100,000, citing factors like flight risk and lack of prior convictions. Hallford, who must wear a GPS ankle monitor and surrender passports, was released Monday night. His preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, Feb. 8.
