🌱 Something New Just Opened In Briargate
👐 Meet Dr. Peter and explore a welcoming environment focused on your well-being
In a charming Briargate neighborhood, a new space dedicated to optimal health has opened its doors – Hexis Chiropractic, where Dr. Peter Harris is on a mission to help the community thrive. Growing up in Connecticut, his journey into healing began uniquely – first as a young patient, then working in a chiropractic office at just 16 years old.
These early experiences sparked a lifelong passion that led him to earn his Bachelor's in Kinesiology and complete an accelerated Doctorate of Chiropractic program in just 3.5 years.
Drawn to Colorado Springs' natural beauty and close-knit community, Dr. Peter knew this was where he wanted to create something special. At Hexis Chiropractic, he's crafted a warm, welcoming space where healing feels natural and stress melts away. His approach focuses on your body's natural relaxation network - the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system - helping transform tension into calm, improving sleep, and enhancing overall well-being.
You'll find more than just treatment here. Dr. Peter believes in creating genuine connections with his patients, understanding their unique stories, and celebrating their progress together. His office's open layout, weekend health classes, and community hiking events reflect this philosophy of shared wellness.
Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain or simply want to feel your best, Dr. Peter brings the same care and attention he first witnessed as a young patient himself. Stop by Hexis Chiropractic, where your journey to better health becomes part of our community's story.

✈️ $8M Boost for COS Airport Project
The Colorado Springs Airport’s ElevateCOS concourse modernization project recently received an $8 million boost from the Federal Aviation Administration. This funding, part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will enhance the terminal’s capacity, accessibility, and sustainability without affecting local taxpayers. Expected to wrap up in 2026, the project will feature upgrades to restrooms, seating areas, and retail spaces, with ADA-compliant improvements to ensure equitable travel experiences.

🏙️ New Chapter for Downtown Partnership
After 11 years of dynamic leadership, Susan Edmondson has resigned as president and CEO of the Downtown Partnership, citing health concerns. Her tenure saw $2.3 billion invested into downtown Colorado Springs, transforming it into a vibrant space for business, culture, and community. Jennifer Furda, current Board Chair, will step in as interim leader, and Edmondson will stay on as an advisor. While her departure is a loss to the city, Edmondson’s legacy and dedication to downtown will continue to shape its growth and prosperity.

🚧 Final Week for I-25 Closures
After two years of work, CDOT’s improvement project on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Fountain will conclude this week. The $90 million project has widened the road, added new shoulders, and completed vital upgrades, including new overpasses, guardrails, and a raised speed limit.
Final lane closures are scheduled through Friday as CDOT finishes sign installation and striping. The project aims to improve both safety and traffic flow along the 7.5-mile stretch, providing long-term benefits for drivers and emergency responders. Full Story
