👒 Colorado Springs’ Costume Keeper
Photo: Eva Saunders
For nearly 60 years, Eva Saunders and her mother, Evelyn, have kept the art of handmade costumes alive in Colorado Springs. Saunders Costumes, once a storefront, now operates from Eva’s home, where she rents and creates unique pieces for local schools, fairs, and private events. Despite rising competition from large retailers, Eva continues crafting and renting from her extensive, 10,000-piece costume collection.

The calendars are available for $15 at Southgate PetSmart in November or online with shipping. Let’s show some love to our four-legged protectors this season! 🥰
