🚶♀️ New Underpass for Walkers, Cyclists, & More
Pikes Peak Greenway Trail users can now enjoy a new pedestrian ramp and underpass at Monument Creek Park near Mesa Road Bridge. Colorado Springs Utilities and the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services department worked together to add paved trails and creek stabilization measures to prevent erosion along this popular trail.
With retention walls and improved creek beds, the area now offers better accessibility for cyclists, runners, and walkers, all while securing nearby water lines from future damage. This project’s enhancements ensure safer and more enjoyable outings for the trail’s large summer crowd, averaging over 1,000 visitors daily.

🔌 Was Your Power Out Yesterday? Here’s the Scoop
A construction incident yesterday on N 19th and Dale St left over 3,800 residents without power. Emergency crews quickly isolated the site, reducing the outage to about 1,700 customers and managing the rescue of the boom operator involved who hit the power pole and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. All customers were restored by early afternoon.
