🌨️ Plan Ahead! Snowstorm Impacts
In Colorado Springs, snowfall is continuing, with limited visibility and sporadic yet heavy snow bursts throughout the day. Travel may be challenging, so plan ahead if you need to be out and about. Highs will hover in the low 30s, with a winter storm warning in effect all day. Winds will be blustery, with gusts up to 25 mph. The snow continues into Friday, with conditions worsening as heavier snow could make roads nearly impassable in some southern areas.
By the weekend, things start to ease up, with sunshine on Saturday and warming to the 40s and 50s on Sunday, bringing some much-needed snowmelt and a bright end to the storm. *Info curated from multiple sources

📵 Time to Think Hands-Free Is NOW
In an effort to boost safety and reduce distracted driving accidents, Colorado’s hands-free law will go into effect on Jan 1, 2025. The law bans all drivers from holding or manually using cell phones while driving, even when waiting at stoplights or in traffic jams.
Hands-free devices like Bluetooth headsets and dashboard mounts will still be allowed, making now a good time to equip your car if you haven’t already. First-time offenders face a $75 fine and two points on their license, but can waive charges by showing proof of buying a hands-free device. Exemptions apply for emergency personnel, utility workers, and commercial drivers in specific situations. For most drivers, the time to prepare for this shift is now!
