đźš– Free NYE Rides for Colorado Springs
McDivitt Law Firm is once again providing free cab rides on New Year’s Eve to help prevent drunk driving in Colorado Springs. Operating from 10pm to 3am, the Safe Ride Home program ensures patrons can safely get home from drinking establishments. To use the service, call zTrip in Colorado Springs, mention “It’s on McDivitt,” and enjoy a free ride to your residence.
Since 2007, this program has delivered over 20,000 rides, reflecting McDivitt Law Firm’s commitment to reducing alcohol-related accidents. Rides are only available to homes, not other bars or restaurants, and while demand is high, every effort will be made to accommodate calls. Tipping the drivers is encouraged!

🎇 Why Fireworks Could Cost You Big Tonight
Fireworks may feel like a fun New Year’s Eve tradition, but in Colorado Springs, they come with serious risks. Fireworks are banned within city limits to prevent fires, and violators can face up to $2,500 in fines or six months in jail. Beyond the legal dangers, fireworks can harm the community. Veterans may experience trauma from the noise, and pets often become so panicked that they escape and get lost.
Rather than risking safety, consider attending a professional fireworks display. The AdAmAn Club’s fireworks on Pikes Peak offer a stunning alternative with a preview at 9pm and a midnight finale—perfect for celebrating responsibly. Full Story
🔌 Was Your Area Affected Last Night?
Northeast Colorado Springs faced an unexpected power outage on last night, affecting 821 homes and businesses near East Woodmen and North Union. Colorado Springs Utilities reported the outage around 7:40pm but didn’t specify what caused it.
By 9:40pm, the number of impacted customers dropped to 288 as crews made progress. Utilities said the remaining residents had power restored by 11:30pm, bringing a quick resolution to an inconvenient evening for many.
🎊 TRIVIA: Colorado Springs' Most Daring New Year's Ritual
AdAmAn Club Resting, c. 1930, Pioneers Museum
Did you know that the AdAmAn Club has been celebrating the New Year with fireworks from the summit of Pikes Peak since 1922? What began as an adventure by the "Frozen Five" has evolved into a beloved tradition that now includes climbing Barr Trail on Dec 30 and 31, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at midnight on New Year's Eve. Click for the Pikes Peak Summit live webcam. If you’re not close to see them, maybe you can from the live feed.
Question: Is there an official song about the AdAmAn club climb?*
The club's name cleverly reflects their tradition of adding only one new member each year. However, for this year, they made an exception by adding two new members to honor Luke Stark, who tragically passed away, and his sister Rachael.
In honor of their centennial, AdAmAn Alley opened in Colorado Springs, featuring murals and interactive art dedicated to this iconic local tradition. The alley is located at 15-17 S Tejon and offers a year-round tribute to the spirit of adventure and community that the AdAmAn Club embodies.
