🎯 The Secret to Financial Confidence You Deserve

Baskin Financial Planning

🗝️ Beyond Investments: Achieve Financial Wellness with Erik Baskin

Having spent his childhood in Minnesota, Erik Baskin has found deep roots and purpose in Colorado Springs—a place where his journey of service, community, and family continues to thrive. As a former hockey player for the Air Force Academy, Erik learned the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Today, he brings those same principles to his work as the founder of Baskin Financial Planning, helping families, those in midlife and veterans achieve financial clarity and purpose.

After graduating from the Academy with a degree in Economics, Erik served as a hospital administrator in the Air Force. While he appreciated the opportunity to serve, he realized his true calling was to empower others through financial planning. Passionate about personal finance, Erik strives to create a firm that prioritizes families, builds trust through transparent, fee-only advice, and aligns money with what truly matters in our lives.

Since launching Baskin Financial Planning, Erik has grown his firm into one of the most trusted independent financial advisors. With an MBA, CFP® designation, and years of dedication, he now serves 45 families and manages $18 million in assets. His holistic approach goes beyond investments, addressing every aspect of financial well-being to help clients feel confident and in control of their future.

Erik’s wife, Shelley, is also an Air Force Academy graduate and will be separating from her military career this spring as they eagerly await the arrival of their first child, Sophia. Outside of work, Erik is a volunteer hockey coach at Lewis Palmer High School and enjoys spending time with Shelley and their greyhound, Annie.

If you’re looking for a financial advisor who combines local roots, service-driven values, and a personalized approach to financial planning, contact Erik at (719) 203-1462 or visit BaskinFP.com and Facebook.

👮‍♂️ Smarter Policing in COS: See What’s New

CSPD body cam

The Axon Body 4 system includes livestreaming, automated transcription, and AI-driven report writing tools, reducing administrative burdens and freeing up officers to focus on calls and concerns.

🔥 Pikes Peak's Wildfire Plan—Are You Involved?

Pikes Peak's Wildfire Plan

Local safety agencies train constantly, improve evacuation systems, and offer resources to protect the community.

Residents play a crucial role by signing up for Peak Alerts, creating evacuation plans, assembling emergency kits, and practicing wildfire mitigation tactics. While wildfires can’t always be prevented, actions like clearing vegetation and planning ahead can save lives and lessen the impact.

Together, the community and local agencies can create a more resilient region prepared for future challenges.
