Academy District 20 is looking to fill more than 100 positions and is inviting job seekers to its annual Job Fair on Feb 22 at Liberty High School, 9am-1pm. This event offers attendees the chance to meet with school and district representatives, explore open roles, and even interview on the spot.

Positions include teachers, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, security officers, and more. Some candidates may even leave the fair with a job offer, pending a background check. While registration isn’t required, it’s encouraged to help organizers plan.

For nearly a century, the Martin Drake Power Plant powered Colorado Springs, creating jobs and shaping the city’s growth. Now, you can own a piece of this local landmark. Only 200 commemorative bricks are available for purchase for $109.50 each, with most proceeds supporting Project COPE, which helps families with utility assistance. Bricks can be purchased through the Public Surplus website using the "Buy It Now" option, and pickup by appointment on Tuesdays. Don’t miss this chance to hold a piece of the past while helping the community!

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC is embarking on a new chapter as Weidner Apartment Homes takes full ownership of the club. Having been a minority owner since 2020, Weidner’s increased investment promises stability, growth, and continued success for the reigning USL Championship winners.

This transition builds on the legacy of the Ragain family, who helped establish professional soccer in the city and laid the foundation for the club’s achievements. With key leadership remaining in place and a strong vision for the future, the Switchbacks are set to continue their rise as a powerhouse in Colorado Springs sports.
