๐ Quick Response to Fire Near Wahsatch

A fire broke out near a homeless camp at E Fountain and S Wahsatch yesterday around 5:30pm, sending smoke over the south side of city. The CSFD responded quickly, with Engine 1 on the scene, and was able to knock down the flames before they spread further. Itโs unclear if anyone was injured or what sparked the fire, but crews acted fast to prevent further danger.

๐ฅพ Hike the Tracks of History - Edmondson Trailhead
For an easy hike with a side of history, check out the New Santa Fe Trail from the Edmondson Trailhead! This wide, well-maintained path follows the old Santa Fe rail line, offering a smooth journey with plenty of historical markers.
One of the most intriguing stories? A 1909 train collision that claimed nine lives near the trail. The route runs north toward Palmer Lake, climbing about 1,200 feet along the way.
While access through the Air Force Academy remains closed, this year-round trail is still a great option for a relaxed, scenic outingโdogs on leash welcome!
