🚧 Drivers, Take Note—Detours Start Tomorrow

Heads up, Las Vegas St under Circle Dr will be closed starting tomorrow, March 14-21 as crews work on a railroad bridge foundation. Both northbound and southbound travelers will need to take detours, using Hwy 85 North/Venetucci Blvd or Janitell Rd. No times were given so expect these detours day and night.
Since construction is weather-dependent, the timeline may shift, so stay tuned for updates on signage or the city’s project page.
🏞️ The Generosity Behind Our Parks

El Paso County Parks recognized the 2024 Partners in the Park, a group of local businesses and donors whose generosity keeps parks, trails, and nature centers thriving. Since 2009, this program has raised $550,000, ensuring sustainability and improvements across beloved spaces like Rainbow Falls, the Paint Mines, and multiple dog parks. Their support helps maintain accessibility and preserve the beauty of our county’s outdoor spaces for future generations. See the full list of partners here.

🌕 Red Moon Rising—Will You Catch It?
Depending on when you go to sleep, you might catch a total lunar eclipse tonight! The Moon will turn a mesmerizing red-orange as it moves into Earth’s shadow. No special gear is needed, just a dark spot away from city lights will give you the best view.
The eclipse starts at 9:57pm, peaks at 12:36am, and ends by 4:00am—so whether you're staying up late or rising early, you might just catch this celestial wonder.
