🏗️Downtown Stays Open Despite Construction

The Tejon Street Revitalization Project kicks off today, with northbound lane closures between Colorado Ave and Pikes Peak Ave lasting through late June. Businesses remain open despite detours and temporary parking restrictions, and city garages offer discounted parking.
Work will shift north in July, with the full project set for completion by late 2025. While construction presents short-term challenges, the long-term goal is a safer, more accessible, and more vibrant downtown. Although it may be a slight inconvenience, please continue to visit these small businesses. During this time, they need our support to navigate the challenges of construction and survive.

đź’ŽHotel Polaris Joins the 4-Diamond Club

Hotel Polaris has achieved AAA’s prestigious four-diamond rating just four months after opening near the Air Force Academy’s north gate—a rare accomplishment, as most hotels aren’t rated until after a year.
The designation places Polaris among only a handful of elite properties in the Pikes Peak region. With upscale amenities, stunning views, and a service-first approach, the hotel aims to be a premier base camp for exploring Colorado Springs. While it doesn’t see itself as a competitor to The Broadmoor, Polaris offers a modern take on luxury, setting a new standard for hospitality in the area. Full Story

Amy Goldsbury Photo by: Alec Berg, Rocky Mountain PBS
Amy Goldsbury, once known as the “godmother” of Colorado Springs’ West Side for her protective nature in the unhoused community, has finally secured stable housing after six years on the streets. Winning a housing voucher was a life-changing moment, but her journey to a home wasn’t immediate.
Along the way, she found temporary shelter with a friend, DeNue Moonsong, whose kindness came just before her unexpected passing. Now settled in a small apartment, Amy works full-time at Circle K, where she once sought refuge, and is determined to build a future where she can afford rent on her own.

🦴Want Stronger Bones & Better Balance? Try This
Rebounding on a mini-trampoline isn’t just a childhood pastime—it’s a research-backed workout with benefits for all ages. Studies show it improves cardiovascular health, strengthens bones, enhances balance, and even reduces fatigue. NASA’s research found it to be more efficient than running, while other studies highlight its role in weight management and joint health.
Whether you’re looking for a fun, low-impact exercise or a way to support your lymphatic system, rebounding could be a game-changer.
