With tax filings in full swing, scammers are working overtime to trick people into revealing personal information. Using AI, they create realistic-looking emails and fake websites impersonating the IRS or tax software companies. Many scams lure victims with urgent messages about tax refunds, prompting them to click malicious links.
The IRS will never request sensitive information through text or email, so always verify before clicking. If you think you've been targeted, notify your bank, report the fraud to the IRS, and file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center. Stay alert and protect yourself and your information! đźš® Major Cleanup Coming to Colorado Spring
April 2 and 3, the City of Colorado Springs will begin a large-scale cleanup of homeless encampments along trails and in Dorchester Park, following concerns about public health and safety. The effort comes after numerous complaints about debris, hazardous materials, and unsanitary conditions in these areas.
In preparation, officials have been notifying individuals living in the camps and working to connect them with available shelters and resources. While the cleanup is focused on improving public spaces, the city is also emphasizing outreach efforts to assist those who are ready to transition out of homelessness.
🚤 Prospect Lake’s Algae Problem—Solved?

Prospect Lake has struggled with toxic blue-green algae in recent years, leading to closures that impacted both recreation and local wildlife. To fix the issue, the city has installed a new aeration system that pumps oxygen into the water, preventing algae growth and improving conditions for fish and visitors alike.
Fishers and outdoor lovers have noticed the toll the algae has taken on wildlife, and many hope this new system will provide a lasting solution. The city expects everything to be up and running by Memorial Day, creating a healthier, more enjoyable lake for all. Have you been to Prospect Lake yet? Full Story
