🌄 What Would You Change About Colorado’s Outdoors?

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is drafting a new 10-year strategic plan to guide how it manages everything from wildlife and habitat to outdoor recreation and public access.
The agency is inviting public feedback through May 26 to help shape this roadmap for the next decade. Anyone can share input anonymously online, making this a rare opportunity for Coloradans to influence the future of the natural spaces they know and love. The final plan is expected to be adopted in 2026, but your feedback is needed now.
🔬 Autoimmune Breakthrough in the Making?

The University of Colorado’s Autoimmune Disease Prevention Center is launching a national study to identify people at risk for rheumatoid arthritis and test ways to prevent it before symptoms develop. Building on years of research and earlier clinical trials, this innovative effort aims to shift the focus from treating autoimmune diseases to preventing them altogether.
By examining genetic markers, immune responses, and gut health, researchers hope to not only delay or stop the onset of RA but also eventually apply this approach to other autoimmune conditions that affect millions. The project brings together medical professionals, researchers, and industry partners to reshape how we think about chronic illness and early intervention.

🎶 Ford Amphitheater’s Quieter Debut

The 2025 concert season at the Ford Amphitheater kicked off last night with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit performing through a chilly, rainy evening. Alongside the music, the venue debuted new noise-reduction features like sound walls and a redesigned audio system aimed at addressing past complaints from nearby neighborhoods.
The changes seem to be working (although some say this particular concert wasn’t the best test)—residents who could clearly hear concerts last year say they barely noticed this one. With more shows ahead, starting with Seether on May 5, it looks like the season is off to a more harmonious start. Full Story
