👷 Tejon Street’s Makeover Is Moving Fast

Downtown Colorado Springs is transforming fast thanks to the Tejon Street Glow Up project, which has already finished its first block between Colorado and AdAmAn Alley. With a fresh new flex zone and concrete in place, crews are now working beneath the surface to support new trees and wider sidewalks that will enhance the downtown experience.
Despite the ongoing work, businesses are fully open, walkways are accessible, and 2 FREE hours of garage parking are available—so it’s a great time to head down and enjoy the evolving vibe. Full Story

⚠️ The #1 Mistake Drivers Make in Rain

As southern Colorado heads into a week of expected rainfall, AAA is urging drivers to stay cautious, especially when it comes to floodwaters and low-visibility conditions. Even shallow-looking water can be dangerously deep, especially in urban areas like Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Driving through these areas can quickly lead to loss of control or worse, and at night, these hazards are almost impossible to detect.
If possible, avoid driving during heavy storms and always remember the simple rule: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Full Story
🌮 Cinco de Mayo: the Real Story

Courtesy USA Today
Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s unlikely victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, a moment that became a powerful symbol of resistance and unity.
While it’s often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day, the holiday has its own unique legacy, especially in the US, where it grew in popularity during the Chicano Movement and now serves as both a cultural celebration and a reminder of historical strength. Though commercialized over the years, many hope the day is also used to reflect on the deep roots of Mexican American history and resilience. Full Story

🦵 Restless Legs? You’re Not Alone

This is just a baseline video as an introduction. I’ve found others that might help with different advice/relief I’ll share later.
