🏛️ COS Tour Stops in Every District

Mayor Yemi and the Colorado Springs City Council are launching a seven-stop Community Tour this month and next, including one telephone town hall, to connect directly with residents. The sessions will update the public on progress made in the Mayor’s first two years, with open discussion and live polling on important issues like safety, infrastructure, housing, the economy, and community development.
Residents are encouraged to attend the in-person stop in their district or register for the telephone event to help shape the strategic direction of the City.
May 23 (Fri), 6–8 p.m. – In-person (District 5 – Central)
May 29 (Thu), 6–8 p.m. – In-person (District 6 – East)
June 2 (Mon), 6–8 p.m. – In-person (District 4 – Southeast)
June 3 (Tue), 6–8 p.m. – In-person (District 2 – North)
June 4 (Wed), 6:30–8:30 p.m. – In-person (District 1 – Northwest)
June 5 (Thu), 6–7 p.m. – Telephone Town Hall (Citywide)
June 12 (Thu), 6–8 p.m. – In-person (District 3 – Southwest)
📚 Library Rules Are Changing Start May 12

If you visit the Pikes Peak Library District, you’ll want to pay close attention to some new policies going into effect May 12. Patrons must now keep bags to carry-on size, keep walkways clear, and wear proper attire like shirts and shoes.
Covered drinks are still welcome in most areas, but food is generally no longer allowed—except for dry snacks in children's zones. Some areas like makerspaces will be completely drink-free. These updates aim to create a cleaner, safer space for everyone and will be posted throughout the library and online.

🚧 I-25 Ramp Closed Today — Where?

If you're driving southbound on I-25 TODAY, expect a detour at the Interquest Pkwy off-ramp due to bridge joint repairs from 9am to 3 pm. To access eastbound Interquest, CDOT recommends using Voyager Pkwy via Briargate Pkwy or North Gate.
Expect possible delays and remember to stay alert, obey speed limits, and give crews plenty of space while work is underway. Full Story
