⏰ Transform Your Life in 30 Minutes!

πŸ’‘ Meet the Couple Revolutionizing Colorado Springs Workouts

When firefighter Jason Derra and his wife, nurse practitioner Kaylee, opened Fit Body Boot Camp in March 2024, they brought more than just fitness expertise to Colorado Springs. Their combined medical and emergency response backgrounds sparked a deeper mission: helping community members prevent the health challenges they witnessed firsthand.

Through years of helping others in their most vulnerable moments, Jason and Kaylee realized they could make an even bigger impact by focusing on prevention. They envisioned a place where people could build lasting, healthy habits before crisis strikes, and that vision became Fit Body Boot Camp.

Their 30-minute high-intensity workouts deliver twice the results in half the time, but the heart behind this gym is what truly sets it apart. As busy parents balancing demanding careers, Jason and Kaylee understand the challenges of a healthy lifestyle. They have cultivated a supportive "fit family" where certified coaches modify exercises for all fitness levels, from teenagers to members in their seventies. Everyone who walks through their doors becomes part of this caring community.

Personalized attention is key at Fit Body Boot Camp. New members receive a one-on-one consultation to discuss your goals and create a tailored plan. This individualized approach ensures everyone feels supported and encouraged on your fitness journey. Even in the first few weeks, members are already seeing transformations and celebrating milestones, which are proudly displayed on the boot camp's "wall of fame."

Jason notes the rewarding camaraderie after each session: "Everyone's sweaty, drinking water, talking together and laughing...even though they came in at 5 a.m.!"

This isn't just another gym. For Jason and Kaylee, it's about transforming lives, one workout at a time.

Ready to join the fit family? Try a FREE WORKOUT at 3715 Bloomington St, Suite 100. And right now, new members can experience unlimited sessions for 4 weeks for only $40. Call/text (719) 266-2951 for details. Or visit their website and Facebook page.

πŸ”₯ Smarter Wildfire Evacuation Plan Coming

The Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management is leading a new effort to create an Advanced Evacuation Plan designed specifically for our region. Combining local expertise, lessons learned from past wildfires, and smart technologyβ€”including an AI tool called Ladris that helps agencies plan and respond more effectivelyβ€”the plan aims to help first responders act faster and more precisely during emergencies.

Multiple agencies are collaborating, and training is underway through 2025, with full implementation expected in November. Residents can explore evacuation preparedness resources now at PPROEM.com/EvacuationPlanning.

*Personal Note: As someone who helps businesses understand and implement AI, I'm encouraged to see AI used locallyβ€”especially with human oversight guiding the process.

🚱 Visiting Manitou? Read This First

Manitou Springs is facing a critical water supply emergency caused by runoff clouding the town’s main water source and a leaky 100-year-old backup pipeline from Colorado Springs Utilities that crews are still working to repair. As a result, residents and businesses have been asked to conserve water for essential drinking onlyβ€”no showers, laundry, or dishwashing unless absolutely necessary.

Several local operations, including schools and the city pool, are closed for now. If you're planning to head into Manitou this week, be aware of possible closures and water use limits that have impacted both residents and local businesses. Full Story
