🚧 Plan Ahead: Traffic Changes

Get ready for some temporary but impactful traffic changes. Reminder, as reported last week, the Woodmen Road bridge over North Academy is under a 3 month long repair. Starting with repaving Woodmen from East Rockrimmon to Olga Wilson Way. Work is expected to happen overnight, 8pm to 5am, with single-lane closures to reduce daytime traffic impacts.
Meanwhile, Tejon Street’s revitalization project begins its second phase with full closures on Block 1 from Colorado to Pikes Peak, with a reopening set for Aug 25.
For an easier commute, try to plan alternate routes to avoid delays in both areas.

🚗 Assistance for Stolen Vehicles

If you’ve ever had your car stolen, you know how stressful and devastating it can be. Did you know there’s assistance for these unfortunate situations: the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority (CATPA), which offers up to $5,000 in assistance to help victims with temporary transportation, towing fees, and even prevention devices. Sadly, only 10% of people take advantage of this help, but it can make a small difference.
If you or someone you know experience car theft, don’t forget to apply for this valuable assistance – it could be the relief you need during a tough time. Full Story
🧠 Want Better Mental Clarity? Try This

We all have stories to share—memories where we've been, challenges we've overcome, and the precious moments that have shaped our lives. Writing these experiences down doesn't just preserve them, it strengthens your connection with yourself. Whether you’re reflecting on the past, acknowledging growth, or practicing gratitude, expressive writing can help process emotions and promote a healthier mindset. The best part? You don’t need to be a professional writer to benefit from this practice. A simple journaling habit can improve mental health, reduce stress, and even boost memory.
Just 10-20 minutes a day of journaling can clear your mind and help you become more in tune with your thoughts and feelings. All you need is a notebook, a pen, and the willingness to explore your thoughts. Whether it’s a few quick notes, sketches, or full reflections, you can make journaling a personal, calming ritual that enriches your life.
Don’t like to write or don’t think you have time? Use voice-to-text tools instead, it still works. If you’re not sure where to start, try setting aside 10 minutes each day to write about what's on your mind. Full Story
