🔑 Unlock the Hidden Income in Your Home
🔍 The simple truth a local property expert wants every homeowner to know
Have you ever considered that the place you call home could also be a source of income? For many homeowners like you, a primary residence holds untapped potential, ready to generate revenue during those times you're away—whether for a season or just a longer trip.
This very idea reshaped Giugi Carminati’s life. As a mother of four, she knew the stress of restrictive and expensive hotels. The freedom of vacation rentals was a personal revelation and combined with her decades of experience managing her own and many other properties, it inspired her to purchase the iTrip Colorado Springs franchise this past August.
Yet, many homeowners hesitate, worried about the overwhelming tasks: managing bookings, screening guests, the round-the-clock demands of guest service, coordinating cleanings, and handling late-night maintenance calls. The thought of trusting your home to strangers can feel like an insurmountable hurdle.
This is precisely the peace of mind Giugi provides. Drawing on her protective instincts with a law degree, she ensures your asset is treated with care. iTrip’s full-service management handles every detail, from marketing your property to providing 24/7 guest support, letting you rest easy.
While not a path to instant wealth, Giugi explains in our interview that homeowners can generally expect to retain about 50% of the rental income after expenses. This supplemental income can help fund your own travels, ease monthly budget pressures, or build your savings.
Getting started is a simple, no-pressure conversation about your goals. You always retain complete control, using your home whenever you wish.
Curious, but not ready to commit? Get a friendly, no-obligation assessment of your home's potential. Contact Giugi today through iTrip Colorado Springs, email [email protected] or call 719-888-3787.

😡 It’s Official: We’re Losing Space Command

Colorado Springs received the announcement that U.S. Space Command will be relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. While many saw this coming, the decision is still deeply disappointing for our community, which has built Space Command into a fully operational hub with unmatched expertise. Leaders warn the move could weaken national security, waste billions of taxpayer dollars, and uproot families and businesses that have supported the mission for years. Despite the loss, Colorado Springs remains a powerhouse in aerospace and defense, but the decision leaves many questioning why politics outweighed readiness and stability. Full Story
There is so much more to tell on this decision…we’ll keep you informed when we uncover more.
🚧 Emergency Water Fix = Traffic Jam

Drivers on S Academy between Chelton and Astrozon face lane closures until next Monday as Colorado Springs Utilities makes emergency repairs to a leaking 20-inch water main under the Sand Creek bridge. While water service isn’t disrupted, the job is complex and will take longer than a typical repair. The southbound left lane and the northbound left and middle lanes, will remain closed until Monday afternoon.
Businesses along the route remain open, but drivers are urged to plan ahead, drive carefully, and expect delays until the work is complete. Full Story
🎭 Fine Arts Center's Fresh Start After Turmoil

Installation shot of the new permanent collection exhibition at the Fine Arts Center, opening Sept 6
The Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs is stepping into a new era with the opening of Gathering Places, a semi permanent exhibition that reimagines its permanent collection. Following years of debt, leadership turnover, and community tensions, the museum brought together artists, curators, historians, and local tribes to rethink how its story is told. The result is a vibrant reinstallation that highlights cultural overlap rather than rigid divisions, featuring works that range from Native and Hispanic art to Broadmoor Academy landscapes and East Coast modernists drawn west.
After years of upheaval, the FAC’s refresh feels like a long-awaited reset and a renewed commitment to honoring both history and community. Full Story
