As Colorado approaches its 150th anniversary in 2026, the America 250–Colorado 150 Commission is launching statewide celebrations, educational programs, and historic preservation efforts.

A central project is the “Portrait of Colorado,” which will record and archive 150 personal stories from residents to reflect the state’s diverse experiences. The Commission is also working to add 150 new sites, especially those tied to underrepresented communities, to the State Historic Register, and is planning special events like a coordinated climb of all fourteeners on Colorado Day. 🚨 Pattern of Local Burglaries Suspected

CSPD responded to a burglary in progress near Black Forest Rd and Woodmen on Dec 5, arresting a suspect after a short chase and recovering property believed to be taken from the home. Police say the incident appears connected to a broader burglary pattern currently under investigation by the Metro Burglary Unit. Detectives are reviewing similar cases to determine whether they are linked, and residents are encouraged to stay attentive and report anything unusual. Full Story

Simple steps like calling the real person back, refusing unusual payment methods, and confirming information with trusted sources. These can help prevent becoming a victim.
