🚧 Austin Bluffs Lane Closures

According to Colorado Springs Utilities, two westbound lanes on Austin Bluffs, between Goldenrod Dr and the Union off-ramp, will be closed as electric crews relocate underground cable for the Central Bluffs Substation project. The work will start today and is expected to wrap up and lanes reopen by Feb 19, but drivers should plan for slower travel during this window. You may want to avoid this area until it reopens.
🏙️ Inside the City of Colorado Springs’ 2026 Priorities

The City of Colorado Springs’ 2026 Strategic Doing Actions outline where local leaders plan to focus attention and funding in the year ahead, and it’s meant to reflect community priorities.
The plan centers on five key areas: improving public safety (faster response times, traffic safety, and better wildfire and flood alerts), investing in infrastructure (streets, transit, parks, trails, and waterways), expanding housing and homelessness solutions (including a Housing Action Plan and tools to support ADUs), strengthening economic vitality (business processes, airport air service, and Peak Innovation Park), and boosting community activation through better communication, neighborhood collaboration, and behavioral health awareness. These 18 action items build on work started in 2025 and are designed to guide multi-year progress across the city.
🍪 Girl Scout Cookie Season Is Here

Girl Scout Cookie season kicked off yesterday in Colorado Springs, and it didn’t take long for booths to fill with eager customers and confident Scouts. Behind the tables is a massive local effort involving hundreds of thousands of cookie packages and weeks of planning.
For many girls, the season is about far more than sales, it’s a chance to practice communication, manage money, build confidence, and learn friendly competition alongside their troop mates. From packed trunks on pickup day to lively booth sales around town, this annual tradition blends community support with real-world learning and it runs through March 15. Full Story

Angela shared her hilarious take on the wardrobe items she’s officially retiring now that she’s over 50. She had me nodding in agreement and cracking up. Click to watch her spot-on (and very funny) rules for what not to wear. 👇
