🚨 Suspect Stopped by Bystanders

According to the official police blotter, Colorado Springs police responded to a robbery report Friday night in the 3800 block of Radiant Dr near Maizeland and N Academy. When officers arrived, they found several bystanders restraining a suspect who had allegedly displayed and pointed a handgun while attempting to rob a victim. The suspect was taken into custody, and officers recovered a 9mm Beretta handgun. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and no property was taken during the incident.
🎵 Bandshell Revival Downtown

The project involves the Rotary Club, the Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, and Dizzy Charlie’s Music and Events, all working to improve the more than 100-year-old structure and enhance its role as a community gathering space.
The bandshell will continue serving as a venue for live performances, including a summer concert series scheduled to take place every Thursday evening from June 4 through Sept. We’ll update as we get closer to the concert dates. Full Story

At Mind Quest Puzzles & Games in Palmer Lake, competitors regularly gather to race against the clock assembling 500-piece puzzles in solo, pair and team competitions. The venue, has become a gathering place for puzzlers from Colorado Springs and beyond.
Interest in the activity surged after the pandemic and continues to expand across the state, with tournaments, community events and even upcoming state and national competitions drawing participants of all ages. While the races can be surprisingly intense, many say the real draw is the welcoming community forming around the tables, where strangers quickly become teammates and friends. Full Story
