Men, You've Been Misinformed

Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.

Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.

Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Despite the cost of living...

🚧 Expect Flaggers and Detours

Water main work on S 8th St enters a new phase this week with intermittent closures at Moreno and Garner St. Here's the day-by-day breakdown:

Mon–Tue (May 18–19): Westbound Moreno, west of 8th is closed. Detour: Lower Gold Camp Road back to Moreno.

Tue–Wed (May 19–20): Garner St narrows to one lane with flaggers. Expect delays.

Wed–Thu (May 20–21): Westbound Moreno east of 8th closes, affecting nearby businesses. Detour: Abbot Lane to 8th St.

The existing center lane closure on 8th between Motor City Dr and Summer Games Dr also remains in place, no left turns in that zone. The Summer Games Dr section is expected to reopen this week once water main installation is complete.

💸 Colorado Is Now the 3rd Most Expensive…

If your wallet has felt lighter lately, the numbers back you up. A new Colorado Chamber of Commerce report ranks Colorado as the 3rd most expensive state in the U.S. to live in, up from 46th in affordability just last year and 34th back in 2022. Every single year, the ranking has gotten worse. Housing is the hardest hit: the state now ranks 48th in the country for affordability.

Here in El Paso County, the median home listing sits around $485,000 against area median incomes of $112,500, a gap that keeps growing. Local food pantries are reportedly seeing about 40 new families a week seeking supplemental resources, a quiet but telling sign. Full Story

🚀 COS Students Launched Mold into Space

A team of UCCS and Pikes Peak State College students watched their experiment blast off last Friday aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 headed to the International Space Station, the result of more than a year of planning and work. Some faculty and students were even on site at the launch. The experiment? Mold spores, sent to space to see how they behave in microgravity.

The science behind it is fascinating: the team is studying a type of fungus that can bioleach heavy metals from old electronics, which could eventually help make recycling possible on long-duration space missions. If it works, it could be a small but meaningful piece of how humans someday live beyond Earth.

The experiment should reach the ISS this week, with results expected in about a month. Full Story
