🤨 This Gets Blamed on Aging
Feeling weaker, slower, or a little more unsteady than you used to? In this video by Kristen Nielsen of TogetherWON, she explains how many of the changes people often blame on “just getting older” may actually be tied to this one thing…and it’s something that can often be improved.
Watch the NEW 60 second video below (updated monthly)! 👇

🕳️ Where Are the Pothole Crews?

You can now watch your potholes get fixed in real time. The City just launched Pothole Watch, a public dashboard that lets you see exactly where potholes are being repaired, how fast crews are responding, and what the numbers look like city-wide.
What you can track:
Monthly and year-to-date repair totals
A heat map of recent repair locations
How to report, how crews prioritize, and how fast they respond
The numbers are impressive. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but the city crews repair approximately 7,000 potholes a month during peak season, roughly 450 per day when weather allows, and between 75,000 and 90,000 annually across Colorado Springs.
Starting tomorrow, May 26, the City is also launching a five-week pothole surge, deploying two to three trucks in each of the four maintenance districts (north, south, east, and west).
Spot one? Report it (at the Pothole Watch Dashboard above) or use the GoCOS app or call 719-385-ROAD. Your report helps crews get there faster.
😊 Local Dreams on Colorado Ave

For most people, Territory Days is a fun Memorial Day weekend tradition filled with food, music, and shopping in Old Colorado City.
However, for local makers, artists, and entrepreneurs, the massive crowds that fill Colorado Ave can create life-changing opportunities. It’s a chance to grow a side hustle, build loyal customers, and move one step closer to turning a dream into a full-time business.
Many vendors spend months preparing handmade products and investing everything they have into weekends like this. Some started with little more than folding tables and homemade displays, slowly building their businesses year after year through persistence, creativity, and community support.
And beyond the sales, Territory Days continues to do what great local events do best: bring people together. Today is the last day of Territory Days in Old Colorado City. If you haven't made it out yet, this is your chance to support local dreamers doing the work. Full Story
