🚧 Powers & Airport Still a Mess?
Traveling through Powers and Airport Road area? Be prepared for several overnight traffic changes in the coming days. The biggest impact arrives tonight, June 22, when northbound Powers will be fully closed at Airport Road from 8pm-5am for overhead sign installation. During the closure, traffic will be detoured via Airport Rd, South Academy, and East Platte before rejoining Powers.
Additional overnight lane closures on both northbound and southbound Powers, along with a temporary closure of the Airport Rd on-ramp to northbound Powers, are also planned as crews continue work on the new interchange. As always, schedules may change due to weather, and drivers should allow extra travel time if traveling through the construction zone.
🚲 Free Breakfast, No Car Needed

Mark your calendar for Wednesday…Bike to Work Day is back, June 24 from 6-9am. Pedal in instead of driving and you can grab free breakfast at stations along the trail system and at local businesses around town, plus ProCycling will be out doing free bike safety checks if your ride needs a once-over.
Even if biking to work isn't realistic for you, it's a fun excuse to get out on two wheels that morning. Goat Patch Brewery is even hosting an after-party from 5-8pm with a free bike tune-up station.

🤠 Parade's Back On
Okay, if you heard over the weekend that the Pikes Peak or Bust Parade got canceled, you heard right. Organizers said Friday they just couldn't pull together the funding for the 83rd parade this year. But here's the good news: it's back on! City leadership rallied some local businesses to step up, and the parade chairman confirmed Sunday it's happening July 11 after all.
The rodeo itself was never in question, by the way - that's still running July 14-18. Full Story
