Unlocking $2.1 Trillion in Energy Potential

One company has developed a technology that extracts valuable resources from coal without burning it. From jet fuel to diesel and more, Frontieras North America has the potential to address $2.1Β  trillion in annual markets*.

It’s similar to when John D. Rockefeller commercialized oil refining technology. If Frontieras captures just 2% of the global coal market, they would position themselves as the global leader in the space.

They just broke ground for their $850 million flagship facility and reserved the β€˜FASF’ NASDAQ ticker. Don’t miss your chance to join the next phase of growth: invest in Frontieras before the opportunity ends on August 27.

Frontieras is offering securities through the use of an Offering Statement that has been qualified by the Securities and Exchange Commission under Tier II of Regulation A. A copy of the Final Offering Circular that forms a part of the Offering Statement may be obtained from: invest.frontieras.com.Β  Reservation of the ticker symbol is not a guarantee that we will be listed on the NASDAQ. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Β  Sources* The global market for our products is worth a combined value of over $2.1 trillion.

Why does the whole country feel a little emptier today?

🀫 The Secret Double Life Of A Local Banker

πŸ“Š Spreadsheets by day. The rest of the time, she's underground.

It started with salt dough ornaments at the kitchen table. Amanda was seven, her mom handed her the recipe, and neither of them knew those messy afternoons would lead to a storefront in Old Colorado City.

Amanda Mendenhall is a personal banker at Key Bank by day. Budgets, long-term planning, the kind of work that lives in spreadsheets. But that creative kid who grew up doing craft shows with her mom in small-town Arizona never went quiet. The dream of her own shop took root at fifteen, and she carried it through a decade of banking, a military spouse life, and move to Colorado Springs.

Two years ago, she stopped waiting. Head down the stairs underneath Jake and Telly's Greek Tavern on West Colorado Avenue, and you'll find The Mountain Mercantile, a Southwestern and Boho-inspired shop where the first thing you're offered is a cup of coffee and a place to sit. Husbands park themselves at this coffee bar. Tourists wander in and stay longer than they planned. Regulars come back just to see what's new.

Amanda curates every single item on these shelves. Her handmade sock snowmen, gnomes, and beautiful original paintings share space with her mom, Arlette's microwaveable bowl cozies, locally made soaps and candles, and vintage paintings by the late local artist Albert Zeki. Whether it is a handcrafted original or a carefully sourced boutique find, every piece is chosen with intention.

She also hosts crafting classes and sipping-and-shopping events throughout the year, so if you've been looking for a reason to try something creative with friends, she's already set the table.

Browse the shop, check the upcoming events at MountainMercantile.shop, and find something wonderfully unusual at 2616 West Colorado Ave #19, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

Hours: Wed–Thu & Sun 11am–4pm | Fri–Sat 11am–7pm | Closed Mon–Tue

πŸ› Don't Like What You See? Fix It

It’s easy to look around Colorado Springs and think, I wish someone would do something about that. Well, in some cases, you can actually be one of those β€œsomeones”.

Colorado Springs City Council is looking for residents to volunteer on several boards, commissions and committees that provide community input on decisions affecting the city.

Current openings:

  • ✈️ Airport Advisory Commission airport planning, operations and land-use issues

  • πŸ’° Audit Committee city finances and fiscal matters

  • βš–οΈ Independent Ethics Commission reviews ethics complaints involving certain city officials and appointees

  • πŸ—³οΈ Initiative Review Committee reviews and comments on proposed municipal ballot initiatives

  • πŸ™οΈ Downtown Review Board reviews downtown development applications (opening requires a Downtown Form-Based Zone property owner)

  • πŸ’§ Stormwater Advisory Committee provides citizen input on the city’s stormwater system and projects (opening requires a qualifying city homeowner)

Most of these openings are for alternate members, but alternates still provide another way for residents to get involved and learn how local decisions are made.

Applications are due by 5pm Tues, Sept. 8. Applicants generally must live within Colorado Springs unless otherwise noted.

So, if you find yourself regularly saying, β€œThe city should…” this might be your chance to move from watching what happens to having a seat in the room.

🧳 Labor Day is almost here, where will you be?

Trade the daily grind for the crisp, alpine peaks of Breckenridge or the sunset-soaked charm of Santa Fe. Grab your spot before it’s gone!

🏒 $24.4M Bet on Briargate

A major investment just landed in north Colorado Springs. The Edison at Chapel Hills, a new 171-unit apartment community at 970 Menlo Park Point in the Briargate neighborhood, has secured $24.4 million in permanent financing through Freddie Mac, arranged by commercial real estate lender Gantry.

The community sits on 7 acres across three four-story buildings, with studio through three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a heated pool, 24-hour fitness center, golf simulator, pet spa, dog park, EV charging stations, and garage parking.

The 10-year, non-recourse, fixed-rate loan carries partial interest-only terms before a 35-year amortization schedule. Full Story
