Twenty-five years ago today, 2,977 people lost their lives. This morning, local first responders are marking the anniversary with a climb up the Manitou Incline, beginning at 6:46 a.m., the exact moment American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower.
The Mountain Shadows Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the climb, with four planned pauses for silence at 7:03, 7:37, 7:59, and 8:03 a.m., each one marking a moment from that morning. The event is primarily for first responders, but the community is welcome to register and join. Full Story
