🥗 Medically Tailored Meals: Food as Medicine in Action
In Colorado Springs, Project Angel Heart is transforming lives one meal at a time. This remarkable organization doesn't just deliver food; they provide hope, health, and independence to our neighbors facing severe illnesses.
Take Carol, who after losing her husband of 60 years, found herself dangerously malnourished. Or DJ, born with a genetic condition that makes breathing a daily struggle. For them and countless others, Project Angel Heart’s medically tailored meals are a lifeline.
"I feel like I re-entered the world," Carol shares, her eyes bright with renewed energy. DJ adds, "These meals give me a piece of independence."
From seniors battling cancer to young mothers with high-risk pregnancies, Project Angel Heart serves a diverse community of individuals in need. Their impact is profound – improved health, reduced stress, and the ability to stay in their homes.
But they can't do it alone. Volunteers are the heartbeat of this organization, delivering not just meals, but companionship and care. Whether you can spare a few hours or know someone in need, your involvement can make a life-changing difference.
Together, we can ensure no critically ill neighbor faces their health journey alone.

A Personal Note from Sandy, Founder of Colorado Springs Town Tidings:
"Project Angel Heart holds a special place in my heart. As someone who's delivered meals, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact of nutritious food on healing bodies and lifting spirits. When I moved to Colorado Springs 20 years ago, Project Angel Heart was just expanding in the Springs. Today, they're a vital part of our community, and it's our turn to help them nourish our neighbors in need. Let's be the bridge between their kitchen and those who desperately need this care."
