🚧 Traffic Alert Off I-25: Prepare for Detours

road closures

City of Colorado Springs will implement road closures impacting major routes near I-25 this week. Starting Thursday night at 9pm, the I-25 South Connector Road and part of southbound S Nevada will be closed until early Friday morning for barrier relocation. On Friday night, S Tejon will be closed between East Motor Way and I-25 South Connector until Saturday morning. These closures are likely to cause traffic delays, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and consider detours.

United Way's Day of Caring

Pikes Peak United Way kicked off its campaign season with a "Day of Caring," mobilizing volunteers to enhance community spaces in southeast Colorado Springs. The event, which focused on projects like painting, furniture assembly, and renovating a baseball field, highlighted the organization's commitment to uplifting the area. With support from local businesses and volunteers, the day marked the start of ongoing efforts to improve and empower the community. 🏗 Major Boost for Mt. Carmel & Local Non-Profits

The Home Depot Foundation

Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center will undergo significant enhancements, thanks to a collaboration between The Home Depot Foundation and 365 Connect Inc. The upgrades include new benches, pergola reinstallations, and landscaping improvements across the campus, along with improvements to the onsite wellness facility, the Next Chapter Center. This partnership also extends to other local non-profits, including Victory Service Dogs and Stable Strides, as part of their ongoing community support efforts. Full Story
