💔 When Love Leaves an Empty Space, Lean on Voices of Grief
🌻 Rediscovering Hope and Healing After Loss
The world doesn't stop when your heart breaks. Life continues, demanding attention, while you're struggling with a loss that feels impossible to process. For those in our community walking this uniquely painful path, the Voices of Grief Support and Education Center offers a compassionate hand to hold and a safe space to heal.
While formally established in 2022, Voices of Grief is built on a foundation of experience far exceeding its years. Executive Director Kathy Sparnins and Program Director Sarah Lee bring a combined 65 years of caring service in hospice care, chaplaincy, and grief counseling, understanding firsthand the complexities of navigating life after loss.
"Each grief journey is sacred," shares Sparnins, "shaped by the unique love and loss it carries." Rather than treating grief as a condition to be cured, Voices of Grief recognizes it's not an illness but a testament to love's enduring presence. They offer compassionate support, drawing on models like "companioning" that simply walk alongside you, holding the space as you heal, honoring the natural flow of grief.
When facing loss—due to dementia, advanced illness, substance abuse, suicide, or any other heartbreak—Voices of Grief's empathetic community reminds you that you don't have to grieve alone. Upcoming groups will provide solace and support, especially during difficult times like the holidays.
Even in the darkest of times, hope and healing are possible. Let Voices of Grief be your guide. Visit VoiceOfGriefCenter.org or call (719) 286-0612 to discover the strength and support that awaits you.
