πŸ’” From Heartbreak to Hope by Honoring Our Fallen

πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ How Angels of America's Fallen helps children find light in the darkness

When service members and first responders make the ultimate sacrifice, their children remain – young hearts carrying an unimaginable weight. Picture a child trying to navigate growing up without their hero parent's guidance, missing those precious moments of shooting hoops together or sharing music lessons.

Here in Colorado Springs, Angels of America's Fallen steps in at this crucial moment, ensuring these children aren't alone. Founded in 2012 by a retired Lt. Col who witnessed firsthand the gap in support for his fallen comrades' children, this organization has become a lifeline for military and first responder families.

Through funded programs in sports, music, and arts, they provide more than just activities – they create spaces where children can heal, grow, and discover their passions. Each child receives unwavering support until age 19, a promise that someone will be there to cheer them on at every milestone.

The impact is profound: 96% of supported middle school children find renewed self-confidence, while every child discovers a passion that lights up their world. Yet today, children of our fallen heroes sit on a waiting list, their dreams temporarily on hold until more funding becomes available. Every day without support is another missed opportunity for healing and growth.

Your support can change this reality. Whether through volunteering at local events, offering administrative help, or providing financial support for program grants, you can help ensure no child of a fallen hero waits to pursue their dreams. Every dollar funds direct participation in activities that transform young lives.

To volunteer or donate, visit their office at 10010 Devonwood Ct, Colorado Springs, or call (719) 377-7352.
