Patsy by Design

🌷 Learn how Patsy guides women like you to transform challenges into breakthroughs

Colorado Springs local Patsy Prather, a former stage manager in New York, understands the art of bringing stories to life. Now, through Patsy by Design, she partners with women to create practical, actionable strategies for life's transitions, helping them move from uncertainty to clarity.

Drawing from personal experience supporting loved ones through mental health and addiction challenges, Patsy developed a unique approach that combines proven tools with hands-on support. Her method breaks down overwhelming life changes into manageable steps, using gratitude as a practical tool alongside intentional language to create lasting change.

"Real transformation requires more than theory – it needs practical tools that work in everyday situations," Patsy explains. Her 12-week program pairs self-discovery with personalized guidance, helping women align their thoughts, words, and actions so they can move forward with confidence and purpose. Whether navigating an empty nest, career shift, relationship issues, addiction recovery, or other personal challenges…clients learn to embrace change while staying true to themselves.

Her commitment to practical solutions has led to her first book, 'AND - How 3 Little Letters Will Change Your Life.' In addition to her transformation work, Patsy serves on the board of a local nonprofit supporting women entrepreneurs in Colorado Springs.

📚 Another Twist in the Library Saga

Rockrimmon Library

This just in…in a surprising turn of events, the Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) Board of Trustees is set to re-vote on the closure of the Rockrimmon Library today. Despite closing its doors on Dec 1, the fate falls on today’s board decision. This shift follows a wave of community advocacy and fundraising by the “Save Rockrimmon Library” group, which has raised over $70K to offset lease costs.

Previously, the Board cited budget constraints and a third-party report as reasons for the closure, emphasizing the need to either cut branches or raise taxes. The upcoming vote today represents the final opportunity to reverse the closure before the lease expires. The meeting will take place at Library 21C (1175 Chapel Hills Dr) and virtually on zoom (Meeting ID: 837 1958 5376; Passcode: 940463), from 5-6pm with a large crowd of supporters expected to attend.

The outcome of this vote could change the course of the library’s story, highlighting the power of community action.

⚠️ After Attack, The Truth About Coyotes in the Springs

coyotes

After a 4-yr old girl was bitten by a coyote on Thanksgiving in Colorado Springs, many are reflecting on how these animals have adapted to urban life. The attack happened in the area of Monument Creek and I-25, near the Air Force Academy. We are learning that coyotes thrive in cities thanks to abundant food sources and a lack of natural predators. Urban spaces, with their plentiful garbage, rodents, and even fruit, have become ideal habitats.

If you see one, experts recommend hazing techniques, like yelling or using assertive body language, to discourage coyote interactions. Attacks are rare but can occur when coyotes are injured, protecting a den, or feeling cornered. The recent incident is a stark reminder to stay alert in coyote-prone areas and to supervise children and pets closely.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife continues to investigate the incident and is monitoring the local coyote population. Full Story
