A small gas leak at the Circle K on South Rockrimmon drew a Hazmat response from the Colorado Springs Fire Department on last night around 6:30pm. With the chilly weather, I thought we might need a recipe that will “warm the belly” as my husband would say. Here is a broccoli cheddar soup recipe that is so satisfying! It’s loaded with fresh broccoli, and creamy thanks to a potato and cheddar cheese (no cream, no flour!)

🚨 Tactical Team Responded to Bijou Incident

A shooting early yesterday morning near East Bijou left a man injured and sparked an intense police investigation. Officers discovered the victim in a parking lot and followed leads to a nearby residence, prompting a tactical team response. Several individuals at the house were briefly detained, and the investigation is now being led by the Assault Unit and Armed Violent Offender team. The victim was taken to the hospital as police continued to search for suspect information. Full Story
