๐คฒ HOPE COS: Champion for Change in Our Community
๐ Discover How You Can Make a Difference Today
Every day in Colorado Springs, dedicated volunteers and staff at HOPE COS reach out with open arms to neighbors facing their darkest moments. They meet people where they are โ whether on the streets, struggling with addiction, or starting anew after incarceration.
Through bitter winter nights, HOPE COS's warming shelters provide more than just protection from the cold; they offer genuine human connection and a chance to rest safely. Their peer support specialists, who have walked similar paths, share their stories of transformation, showing that change is possible with the right support and understanding.
In their recovery housing program, individuals find strength in community as they rebuild their lives. Here, residents support each other through challenges, celebrate small victories, and work together toward lasting stability. The joy of watching someone take their first steps toward independence ripples through the entire HOPE COS family.
Your time as a volunteer can make an extraordinary difference. Whether serving meals, organizing donations, donating items or funds, or simply offering a listening ear, each moment spent volunteering creates ripples of positive change. Many volunteers say they receive more than they give โ finding purpose in connecting with others and witnessing firsthand the power of community support.

๐พ Protect Your Pets in the Cold
With our freezing temps this weekend, pets need extra care to stay safe. Thick-coated breeds may tolerate the cold better, but no pet is fully immune to frostbite.
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region advises wiping petsโ paws after walks to remove ice-melting chemicals and keeping antifreeze spills cleaned up, as even small amounts can be deadly. Keep pets indoors as much as possible, and limit outdoor time to brief, supervised trips to protect their health and safety. Full Story
