Beneath the majestic Pikes Peak, Catamount Institute is making a difference right here in Colorado Springs by transforming young lives through outdoor education. This local non-profit empowers over 8,000 kids from pre-K to high school each year to explore and learn about the natural world through hands-on programs like summer camps, school field trips, and outdoor classes covering topics from sensory exploration to water chemistry and fire ecology.
Research shows that outdoor learning can boost attention spans, creativity, and academic success—benefits that many families have truly witnessed in their children. By blending education with adventure, Catamount Institute not only builds confidence and curiosity but also inspires a lasting respect for nature.
