This Memorial Day, southern Colorado communities are hosting ceremonies to honor fallen service members. From quiet visits to Evergreen Cemetery to larger gatherings at Pikes Peak National Cemetery and Monument Cemetery, you'll find meaningful ceremonies filled with music, tributes, and moments of gratitude.
Pueblo is also hosting a touching event at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk, complete with a flyover and performances from the Fort Carson Vocalists and Band.
For those who want to participate in a more active tribute, the 7th Annual Angel Run in Colorado Springs raises funds for children of the fallen. Registration for the race ends Sunday. Full Story

Rattlesnake season is here, and Colorado wildlife officials are urging extra caution on trails, in open spaces, and even neighborhoods. Prairie rattlesnakes can be found throughout our region, and encounters can happen fast—especially with curious pets.
Keep dogs leashed, avoid using earbuds while hiking so you can hear a warning rattle, and wear protective clothing. If you see a snake, slowly back away instead of stepping around it. And in the event of a bite, call 911 right away—venom can spread quickly and do serious damage, even if not usually fatal. Full Story
