👵 Why Aging Costs More in Colorado

*research from SeniorLiving. org to compare the cost
The cost of aging in Colorado continues to rise, with housing, healthcare, and insurance straining fixed incomes. Nearly half of older adults live below the Elder Index, according to a recent report.
In response, the Next50 Foundation is creating a nonprofit to lobby for policies that make aging more affordable, while the state has released its Multi-Sector Plan on Aging and will hold listening sessions starting Sept 30. With advocacy efforts growing, both nonprofits and state leaders are working to ensure aging in Colorado is both dignified and sustainable. Full Story

Officials are working to identify the animals and contact families, while encouraging pet owners to reach out to their vet clinics where aftercare arrangements were made. The investigation remains ongoing. Full Story
