Starting today, drivers using the northbound I-25 exit to North Gate will notice changing traffic patterns as El Paso County continues storm water improvement work. Access to the roundabout and eastbound North Gate will remain open, but short detours and lane shifts are expected. Minor delays are likely, especially during peak travel times, and additional impacts may move east toward Struthers Rd as work continues.

While Team USA ultimately secured Olympic gold with a dramatic final men’s skate by Ilia Malinin, one of the most powerful moments of the night belonged to Colorado Springs’ own Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea. Skating first in the pairs competition and under immense pressure, they delivered the best free skate of their careers, a performance that helped preserve a crucial point and became the difference-maker in the final standings.

Even without a medal, the moment was unforgettable: as they came off the ice, Danny turned to Ellie and said, “It doesn’t matter about the scores, WE just did THAT!” A reminder that sometimes the biggest wins aren’t measured in medals, but in shared triumph and heart.

Love sports betting or not, it’s quietly helping fund meaningful waterway improvements across Colorado, including right here along Fountain Creek, where decades of flooding had carved dangerously close to Southmoor Dr. With support from the Fountain Creek Watershed District, crews reshaped the creek’s flow to reduce erosion and protect nearby infrastructure. Next up…Pikes Peak Waterways is using grant funding to study improvements along Monument Creek, focusing on water quality, flood mitigation, and better community access. Full Story
