Big changes are coming to North Gate Blvd and Struthers Rd as El Paso County begins work on long-awaited stormwater upgrades. The project includes installing over 3,000 feet of new drainage pipes and building a permanent water quality pond to help manage runoff from heavy rains. Construction starts today and will continue into spring 2026, with traffic impacts expected in the coming months. While it may cause some delays, these improvements are an important step toward better water quality and safer roads.

Just steps away from the Silver Key Apartments and Senior Services, the store was more than a place to shop—it offered walkable access to food, prescriptions, and even daily movement for residents aged 62 and older.
